I think it'd be nice to see the "recent posts" in sidebar a little clearer. I think a little leading in some places would help readability too. BTW are you using Helvetica Neue?

I'm sure I can nitpick but I like what you've done a lot. And now I will test the smiley face

Ah, quote! Yeah the recent posts was a rush job yesterday, it needs some style bad. I saw your screencap, and it's weird it looks like the font is defaulting to a narrow weight of helvetica on your machine for some reason. I'm gonna switch to good old websafe arial just for consistancy.

And smilies brings up a good point - I was going to have a handful to the right of the post box where the URL and image shortcuts are, but what is the best way to do shorthand for additional ones? like and etc? or and ? I could just copy the way em411 does it, lol. I'm so used to that.

Just checked the css and you are using helvetica neue. For two word fonts you should wrap them in quotes. For Example: "helvetica neue", helvetica, arial, sans-serif

It's not that my machine is defaulting to narrow weight of helvetica, that's what helvetica neue is. You don't see the fonts this way?

Weird, nope! Just looks like my normal weight of helvetica neue - which for me isn't narrow. Maybe that's not typical? I'm not sure I have a narrow helvetica.

Good call on wrapping in quotes - I'm just going to yank it and go with arial instead tho. Haven't gotten around to er yet.

ahh...maybe you are right. i've got a shit load of fonts. just checked my helvetica neue and cleared a bunch. FYI, I think Arial is a better web font over Helvetica but that'll get me castrated with all the font elitists.
